Privacy Policy

Konscious OS is built to keep your data on your device. It has no account, no server, and makes no network requests. This policy explains exactly what is stored and why.

What we store

All of the following is saved locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device:

• Your answers to the short first-run setup survey.
• Your break delivery preference (full-screen, new tab, or floating companion).
• Timer and session state — whether a focus block or break is active, which cycle you're on, and the relevant timestamps.
• A local history of your completed focus rounds.
• A flag noting that you've finished onboarding.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, browsing history, or usage analytics. The extension makes no network requests of any kind.

Permissions

storage — saves the settings and session state above, locally on your device.
alarms — drives the focus and break schedule reliably, even when the extension's background worker is asleep.
host access (all sites) — lets the breathing-break overlay appear on the page you're already on, so a break can gently take over without switching tabs. The extension does not read, collect, or modify any page content.

Third parties

No data is shared with any third party. There are no analytics, ad networks, or external services.

Your control

Uninstalling the extension, or clearing its storage from Chrome, removes all stored data immediately.
